I love this! I saw your tutorial/proces thing and i really want to try it in black:) It's ideal for my Steampunk fox costume:)just a question, how long are the laces? (not english but that's the word right?:P

Yes, laces! A good question! I usually over-do the length, as I don't want to have to UN-lace to loosen them. I'd recommend perhaps 2 yards an arm (almost 2 meters an arm) to be on the safe side. You can always trim them down later, but you can't add length on!

I was looking for tutorials on making bracers and your photo showed up in my search, so I thought I would come and say those are nicely made how long did it take you to make them?

Abosolutely love the fact that you have a full pair now! What did you end up using for the lacing? Decided whether or not to burn anything in?

It's a cord, gotta be a nylon or something, so higher tensile strength than that suede I first had in. As to burning... the stitches take up a lot of room, so I might just leave it plain, so it doesn't get too busy. Also, If I recall, the lambskin doesn't burn real cleanly. I think it more melts...

Good! That suede was going to shred on you.. and snap at the worst time (I've redone my necklace cording from that suede just a few times..., and that's not even under much pressure!)

Probably a good idea to leave it be then, especially if it'll melt rather then burn. It's quite lovely on it's own, anyways!
